I got these sleeves for my 9-year-old to wear during soccer games when it’s a little chilly, and they’re fantastic! They’re similar to the adult version I use, offering lightweight, anti-scratch, and anti-friction protection. They fit well, stay in place, and provide a good balance of warmth and flexibility without being restrictive. The material feels durable, and the blue color is a nice touch. Perfect for outdoor activities or light protection for kids! I hope he won't have to test out the cut resistance feature...
These work great. Fit snugly on my hands. You can still use your phone, the signal transmits from your fingers to the screen.
We raise rabbits so there’s constantly little bunnies for kids to pick up and hold. My kiddos have learned how to handle them well without getting scratched. I’m talking baby bunnies, the adults are another story.
But when we have guests over, I needed a way to ensure no worries about them being scratched, so I ordered these kids sized scratch guard sleeves. They’re just the right size and color for just about any kid, probably up to about 13 or so depending their size.
What’s important is they have an ANSI cut rating of A6. This is a rating system for a material’s cut resistance established by the American National Standards Institute. A1 to A3 is for dull blades, A4 to A6 is for medium cut hazards, and A7 and up is for sharp tools and machinery. So these sleeves are actually rated for the upper end of the medium rating, which makes them ideal for my needs of the sharp rabbit claws.
I do find it strange that they show a picture of a kid with a knife pointed at its arm, I’d really like them to change that part. Even though this is cut resistant, I certainly wouldn’t trust it to protect my kids from the tip of a knife. The sleeves may have 80% PE wire with 20% metal wire, but they’re still mostly made of cloth material so don’t place too much trust in these and always make sure there’s adult supervision.
