What is an A9 Rating?

What are they used for?

Does the outer cowhide provide cut resistance?

No. the outer cowhide only provides Level 4 Abrasion Resistance (rated up to level 6) and Level 3 Puncture Resistance (rated up to level 6). *Please do not attempt to test the cut resistance of the cowhide.

Are these gloves waterproof?

No. They are made from natural cowhide leather, which offers durability and breathability but does not block water. They are best suited for dry or lightly damp working conditions rather than totally wet environments.

Why does the leather look darker after getting wet? Is this a defect?

This is normal for genuine cowhide leather. When the gloves get wet, the leather may temporarily darken in color. Once they fully dry, the color will naturally return to normal. This does not affect performance or durability.

Can people with sensitive skin use these gloves?

Absolutely. They are glass-fiber-free, minimizing irritation while maintaining full protection.

How do I clean these gloves?

Use oil-based saddle soap to clean and restore moisture.Apply with minimal water and let the soap do the work. For deeper cleaning, use a shoe brush. Do not use bleach or solvents, as they can cause discoloration. Air dry only to maintain proper size and prevent material shrinkage. Do not machine dry or expose to heat, except indirect sunlight.
