Just got a new job at meijer’s bottle return department and needed gloves for both sorting through trash and to avoid cutting myself while handling things like cardboard and glass. Had some gloves at home but they only lasted a week and a half before ripping. Got these and so far they’re way better. Also like that you get 2 pairs (4 gloves total) for a decent price. Only reason Im not giving a full 5 stars is because I noticed after 3 weeks one glove is starting to show some wear and tear so I wonder how much more milage I can get from these.
My husband uses this gloves for construction and are easy to grasp nails.Comfortable and easy to use.
These are heavyduty cut resistant gloves which are great in quality and holds up well when wearing.Very safe gloves which repell sharpness out with the material that protects the glove from being sliced or cut through it.Very comfortable to wear and feels light.Fits great in the arm as I bought a large size and it doesn't slip out.Very easy to use anywhere mainly when working on a project that involves cutting, drilling, machinery and chopping etc.,Very good quality and affordable for the money.Brings a lot of value and lasts longer as these are very durable and sturdy.Great gloves. I highly recommend this for heavyduty users who work all day on the site handling sharp objects.
Notice: This product was received at no charge as part of the Amazon Vine program but this is an unbiased review. This is a two pack of work gloves with a wire woven into the palms and fingers to help resist you from getting cut. They’re made of a mesh type high performance polyethylene fabric with a sandy nitrile coating applied to the palms and fingers. On the pictures, you can see the ridges from the wire under the sandy nitrile coating on the close-up of the fingers. The coating and wire reinforcement makes them a little bit stiff at first, but they do loosen somewhat as you use them. I’ve got some inexpensive fabric and nitrile coated gloves that are more pliable and comfortable to wear, but they offer no cut protection. These gloves are thicker and they feel like they’ll give you much better protection. However, I didn’t test the gloves with something sharp to see how well they'll protect my hands.Something that’s not expected with this kind of thick gloves is the ability to use the touchscreen on your phone. I’ve had other much thinner gloves where that was impossible. I’ve even had sports gloves that advertised being compatible with touchscreens and they’re not as good as these gloves. The manufacture of the gloves is good. The sandy nitrile coating is evenly applied with a thick layer. The back of the gloves is a mesh and there is an elastic cuff at the wrist and it holds the gloves on securely. As far as the size, I got the XL since gloves can be somewhat smaller than I’d normally use, and even going up a size the XL these gloves are a tiny bit smaller than what I'd prefer due to the stiffness. So you will need to size up if you have big hands. Another issue with the anti-cut features is there's a bit of roughness you feel in the fingers from the nitrile coating and the wire weave. It’s not overly abrasive, but you can feel it. If you’re using the gloves for light work, like metal fabrication or woodworking they should be fine, but for heavy construction work with digging and shoveling, it might be a different story. I did some work around the yard wearing the gloves with digging and such, and compared to my leather gloves and the inexpensive nitrile coated gloves, these gloves are less comfortable. It’s not bad but I’d use these more when I’m worried about getting splinters from lumber pieces or having a sharp edge on a piece of metal doing a number on my hands. Bottom line, you'll want to get these gloves for the right job.All in all, these are well made gloves but a little bit rough inside. That said, they look like they’ll give you good protection if you work with metal or tools that have got sharp edges and you want to avoid getting cut.
I got these gloves not so much for work with sharp tools, although I will use them when I operate my chain saw and hedge clipper, but mostly for working in my Florida yard. I can trim bougainvillea with long handled loppers but picking up branches and getting in and under the plants to pull out invasive tree seedlings or vines is like a waterbed meeting a cactus. And my hands aren't the cacti. These have good grip palms and tough tops that give me good protection. A thorn can pierce the glove but not easily. I get a pressure warning that lets me loosen my grip before I'm punctured. They are flexible enough for me to pull weeds with them and the fabric backs, while thick, allow for some ventilation so my hands don't get sweaty. The medium fits my hands just fine. If I'm buying "women's " gloves I get a large.
